Dr. Margaret Anthes

Dr. Margaret Anthes is a Radiation Oncologist practicing at Thunder Bay Regional Health

Sciences Centre. She treats many different kinds of cancer, including: breast cancer, gynaecological cancers, brain and spinal cord tumors, skin cancer, head and neck cancers and thyroid cancers.

“When I was young I had a friend who died from leukemia. When I was a teenager, I had another friend whose mother died from breast cancer. After witnessing illness and death of these two people who were close to me, I decided to become a doctor and specialize in treating cancer patients.

I hope to continue being a safe and competent doctor by keeping up to date with medical literature and developments so that I can continue to provide the best care for my patients.

If I could implement one change in the healthcare system, I would reduce wait times for medical investigation and intervention by increasing access to health care for all people."
