Hello! I'm Amen, a fourth year student at McMaster University. Inspired by Humans of New York, I co-founded Humans in Healthcare to help shine light on various healthcare concerns across Canada. Through HH, my hope is to show the personalized side of healthcare. I'm passionate about mental health advocacy and women empowerment, and enjoy clinical research. Outside of my academic interests, I love photography, hiking and exploring diverse cuisines!

Having fallen completely in love with the "Humans of New York" and Brandon Stanton's work as a story-teller, I am so thrilled at the prospect of revolutionizing different facets of healthcare in a similar manner. My research interests vary quite a lot, ranging from pediatric diabetes to neurological surgery. Apart from my academic and research interests, I love to initiate meaningful conversations about sociopolitical issues, human behaviour, and the deepest wonders of life!
